final update

Well, after a month and a half of fruitlessly searching and wasting some money and lots of time. The PageFlip experiment went belly up with the rest of the HTML5 e-reader plugins.
I threw in the towel, made a rather hopeless frustrated post on twitter then thought to ask my web host, Squarespace a different question.
Can I embed or use a pdf file directly through the website?
answer?
Yup, just do this or this and BAM e-reader with reasonable navigation tools and options.
I will have to create the PDFs on the fly from several blogs at a time then upload.
The only issue will be can I update a single file (pdf) or create several pdfs as I continue the blog.
So what happens now?
Initially, I will be spending time re-editing the original blogs into the form that I will convert to PDF that I will then embed.
Once that is underway, I will return here to write new entries.
Then I will repeat the process of editing the blog into PDF as we go forward.
At some point some coder will tell me, "Hey Mike, I can simplify this by (insert code that makes an editable e-reader online) and give it to me.
or not.
It won't be the first time.
So look to Defconzero.us for the PDF version, while I continue to use the blog for new parts plus a few side stories.
So, come back in a week for the first official Defcon blog!
